Follow the instructions below to become a new member, re-new your membership or transfer your membership from another club.
We recommend at least one parent or caregiver join as an Associate member for our Nippers and Junior Surf members.
Families (2 adults and their dependents) may complete one registration form and if it makes sense, pay our Family Rate subscription of $250.
Please note age groups for the 2026/27 season are determined by your age as at 30 September 2026.

Our subscription period is for 12 months from 1st July 2026 to 30th June 2027.
If you are new to surf lifesaving you will need to first register with Surf Life Saving New Zealand.
There is no cost to do this, and you only ever do this once per member. Every member receives a unique SLSNZ number.
Please Note: We are unable to enter athletes into carnivals if they are not registered via the SLSNZ portal and anyone wanting to do a SLSNZ course (First Aid, Lifeguarding, Official, IRB, Coach etc) needs to be registered.

Nippers U7s - $60
Juniors (U8s - U14s) - $120
Active and Patrolling Lifeguard, includes Lifeguard Sport Athletes- $65 (issued a lifeguard uniform and includes training)
Tertiary Student Lifeguard - $25 (15 November - 15 February)
Associate Member, includes parents, ex-lifeguards, coaches, officials, or supporters who are involved in the club. - $85
Family Rate - $250 for 2 adults and their dependents.
Fees cover Capital Coast carnivals, lifeguard training courses and SLSNZ courses.
Lifeguards are required to return lifeguard uniforms if they are no longer lifeguarding.
Patrolling lifeguards have access to the boatshed.
Sports Fees apply to members participating in our Junior Development (also known as 'Oceans'), Senior Lifeguard Sport, and IRB Training programmes.
These fees help cover the cost of equipment maintenance and replacement, trailers, and fuel associated with training and competition activities.
Sports Fees are payable by all members who participate in the relevant training programmes, regardless of whether they compete at regional or national competitions.

The Winter Fee applies to athletes participating in any regular Maranui Lifeguard Sport activity during the winter season.
The Summer Fee applies to athletes participating in any regular Maranui Lifeguard Sport activity or IRB training during the summer season.
The fee provides access to the full range of summer training and competition opportunities, with athletes able to choose which activities they participate in.
Hi-Vis Vest $25 and Competition Beanie $15
All club members need to wear a Maranui vest and beanie for competition.
You will be charged for your first red Maranui vest and competition cap when you first join the club. If you need to order a replacement, place a clothing order.
