MARANUI SALTY CREW

Waves on Wednesday has evolved and is now Maranui Salty Crew.  

Maranui Salty Crew is an opportunity for  our adult members to connect with the club, socialise and have some fun on the beach. This could be taking out a board, going for an ocean swim, or trying out some land based surf skills. We are also hoping to offer some IRB training in the future.  

Who's it for: Our adult members: this includes current and retired lifeguards, aspiring guards, and parents of our Juniors and Senior Sport Athletes. 

When: Regular night; Thursdays at the Club, @ 5:30pm from 18th December 2025.  Crew members may organise amongst themselves to hit the beach at other times. 

Communications:  Join the Maranui Salty Crew  WhatApp group to keep an eye on what's happening and make the most of good weather.  

The Fine Print:

• Adults must be paid up members of the club to join the Maranui Salty Crew community.

• Members must be accompanied by a current refreshed lifeguard to access the boatshed and use Maranui gear.  If there are no lifeguards present, the session cannot proceed. 

• This is an adults only session.  Crew members must organise appropriate supervision for any accompanying kids.  

What you need:  Your wetsuit and your enthusiasm, the club has a set of knee-boards for adults,  these will be clearly marked for adult use.
