WELCOME TO POOL RESCUE 2025

Open to all clubbies from U11s up to Masters.

It is that time of year again! Pool rescue season is just around the corner - taking surf skills into the pool.

Get ready for some fun – pool rescue is an exciting addition to your summer surf season! Athletes will train and compete in events like swim with fins, patient tow, brick or mannikin carry (for seniors), underwater obstacle swims, and medley relays. It's a great way to stay connected with lifesaving, build water skills, and be part of Wellington’s best club – Maranui!

Training is once a week on a Saturday afternoon at Freyberg Pool from June until late September.  That all leads up to three competitions - Capital Coast, Central Regions and Nationals - which you can choose to participate in.   

Key info:

• Juniors - U11-U14; Seniors U15 all the way up to Masters

• Practice once a week (Saturday afternoon 4-6pm) at Freyberg Pool, tentatively starting 7 June

• Cost TBC, last year - $65 for training

• Coach - Rhys Speirs. Maranui Head coach for Pool Rescue.
