This is formal notice of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Maranui Surf Life Saving Club:
- Date: Sunday, 12 October 2025
- Time: 3:00 PM
- Location: Maranui SLSC Clubrooms
In accordance with our Constitution, this notice is being provided at least 30 days in advance. The AGM will include the following business:
- Confirmation of minutes from the previous AGM and any Special General Meetings held since.
- Presentation and adoption of the Annual Report.
- Presentation and adoption of the Board’s Financial Report and reviewed financial statements.
- Election of Board Members
- Consideration of any motions submitted in advance.
- Presentation and adoption of the new constitution.
- Consideration of Special Resolution to change our name to remove the “and” from Maranui Surf and Lifesaving Club.
- General business (if agreed by Special Resolution of Members present)
Expressions of Interest – Key Club Roles
As we look ahead to the new season, we’re calling on members to consider stepping into one of several key leadership roles that are vital to the success of our club:
- Chair
- Lifesaving Officer
- Junior Surf Officer
If you’re passionate about Maranui and surf lifesaving please consider volunteering your time. It's a great way to be involved in your community and contribute to the kaupapa of SLSNZ. There will be support available to these roles, with both a Junior Surf Committee and Lifesaving Committee in place to help manage these aspects of the club.

Acknowledging Sue Tuia
The Board would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Sue Tuia, who recently stepped down as Chair. Sue brought a great deal of commitment and energy to the role, and her contribution has made a real difference to the club. We're sorry to see her go, and we're very grateful for all she's done for Maranui.
Submissons and Nominations
Early nominations for board positions, proposed motions, and other items of business may be submitted by Sunday 5th October. Late nominations may also be made at the meeting. All nominations must seek the consent of the nomineee.
